      Unfinished Business: Pilot PC 1.5

    • language no problem
  • We saw him last september, when he performed his previous show Funny Soft Happy & the Opposite. Now Connor Schumacher will return to Grand Theatre for a two week residency, to work on his new performance: Pilot PC 1.5. And you can get a sneak peek!

We are going to think, move, dance together. Because this Fool believes society would be better if we danced everyday.
Come be a part of a new world: Physical Culture. Stichting ARK / Connor Schumacher returns to the blackbox to build a dynamic moving space with the public.
The performance is a Sci(non)fiction research into what it takes to reflect and move through 2020 with a healthy distance. With his alter ego The Fool you will enter an immersive space where everybody, each with their own personality and background, will build the skills to move on towards Physical Culture 1.5 and beyond.
Expect: music (from opera to techno) / light / video / movement / effort / and thought. Those will be our tools of engagement. Don’t worry – The Fool is a professional. We’ll remake our world one step at a time. All we need is practice.

There is a door policy for the show:
    yes to the soft body
    yes to the curved body
    yes to the strong body
    yes to the social body
    yes to every body

We attempt to build a space saying:
    no to racism
    no to sexism
    no to transphobia
    no to homophobia
no to ableism, harassment or bigotry of any kind

Connor Schumacher (1987) studied dance and composition at the Purchase Conservatory of Dance in New York, after which he developed himself from 2012 onwards as an independent dance artist at Dansateliers in Rotterdam. In 2019 he was awarded with the Prize of the Dutch Dance Festival, which offered him a production budget of 10.000 euros to invest in his new work Stillness Is A Concept.
