Theater maker, choreographer and hip-hop dancer Shailesh Bahoran brings two dance pieces to Grand Theatre: Heritage en REDO
Heritage - Shailesh Bahoran / Spin Off / Korzo producties / ISH Dance Collective
In his solo Heritage Shailesh Bahoran is searching for his origin. Are the answers hidden in India, Suriname or in the stories of his ancestors? He will be researching this in a particular way through breakdance and popping with his Indian roots.
REDO - Shailesh Bahoran / Illusionary Rockaz Company
At birth Redouan Ait Chitt was already 6-0 behind. Without any medical reason his body shows peculiar abnormalities. His right arm is shorter and is missing the elbow joint. He has three fingers on his left hand and only two on his right hand. He is missing his right hip, has a shorter right leg and is walking with the aid of a prosthesis. But Redouan doesn’t believe in boundaries. Redouan doesn’t believe in excuses. Redouan believes in himself and that’s how he became an internationally famous breakdancer and motivational speaker: Redo.
