Mezrab in the House | Next Exit: Europe
A night of stories & music
> English spoken
Imagine stepping into a living room where you feel instantly welcome. You take some soup, grab a drink and before you know it you are part of a ritual that has been taking place for thousands of years around the world: the sharing of food, music and stories. This is Mezrab. Last month our stories broke out of the four walls confining us. This month our stories take to the road.
We’ll be sharing stories that wander across the continent, the histories, the promises and the tragedies of Europe, told by local and international storytellers. Come settle down on our new comfy pillows (donated by Mezrab Amsterdam!) with another delicious bite to eat made by Kruimels. No idea what they’re making yet… we’ll let you know as soon as we do!
Stories by: Sieger Baljon (Sjamandada), Gideon Da Silva, Ishan MP, Ogutu Muraya, your host Christina Mercken (Storytrooper) and… maybe you? Music by: Fleur-Marin Roorda. Those inspired to tell can throw their names into a hat for a short open mic set at the end of the night.
